Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading food manufacturer. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our machinery and equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime, maximizing productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment. Job Duties:
- Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks on production machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime and ensure their optimal functioning.
- Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues, and implement effective repair and maintenance solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, calibration, and component replacement, following established schedules and guidelines.
- Collaborate with production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to the manufacturing process.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to record and track maintenance activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate equipment records.
- Comply with all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, and promptly addressing any safety concerns or incidents.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in maintenance technology and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and coordinate the procurement of necessary supplies to support maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and experience in utilizing them to track maintenance activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of safety regulations and practices, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
