Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd SHIFT
Job Description
Location: Chicago, IL
- Assess machinery and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair issues
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing machine failures
- Inspect equipment for malfunctions
- Following industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
- Logging performed maintenance work through either paper documentation or a CMMS
- Be ready to respond immediately to emergency situations
- Train equipment operator on preventive maintenance
- Performing general maintenance work on buildings/equipment as assigned
- High school graduate, certificate program or vocational training
- 3 to 5 years previous experience in maintenance mechanic position. Salvagnini, Elumatec, and Cincinnati equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical production and facility equipment
- Good communication skills
