Calibration and Repair Technician
Job Description
- Calibrate various measurement instruments throughout the utilities department.
- Instruments requiring calibration may include temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, backflow prevention switches, conductivity meters, flow meters, chlorine monitors, gas analyzers, valves, level probes, and other instruments.
- Troubleshooting and repair of in-service equipment.
- Installation of new equipment.
- Calibration data entry and asset management into the company's database tracking system.
- Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors.
- Follow metrology department's standards for calibration.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of prior Metrology/Calibration experience is necessary.
- Must possess practical knowledge of Metrology and measurement practices.
- Must possess knowledge of related quality systems and practices (i.e. ISO 17025, ANSI/Z540-1).
- Must have analytical skills to identify sources of measurement error and to read and interpret technical schematics, specifications and calibration procedures.
- Technical knowledge of utility equipment and instruments used in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing is a plus.
